Fire Emblem Engage Nintendo Switch sales launch it to top spot

Fire Emblem Engage sales give it a strong start in the UK boxed charts, with the Nintendo Switch tactics title taking the top spot over mainstays like FIFA 23

Fire Emblem Engage - the main character from FE Engage, a woman with long red hair on one side, blue on the other, a blue skirt and white armour and regal sword, looking happy.

Fire Emblem Engage sales at launch are good enough to give it the number one spot in the UK boxed charts, as compiled by GfK. That brings it past classic endless sellers like FIFA 23 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

That makes it the second biggest launch for the series, as reported by GamesIndustry.biz. Fire Emblem Engage sales at launch are 31% lower than Fire Emblem Three Houses, the previous entry on the Nintendo Switch.

This comes alongside a massive bump for The Last of Us in the UK. The second remaster, The Last of Us Part I, saw a 238% spike in sales week-on-week, while the first remaster, The Last of Us: Remastered, saw a 322% sales spike. Can anyone guess why?
