Bailu is a five-star support unit with the power of lightning. She fills the role of main healer perfectly thanks to the high outgoing healing capacity from her skill, ultimate, and passive talent.
Although her healing output is high, it can be a little unreliable due to her skill’s random targeting. Additionally, she’s the only support unit in Honkai Star Rail so far without the ability to remove debuffs. For more consistent healing and debuff control we recommend running Bailu alongside Honkai Star Rail’s Luocha.
What are the best light cones for Honkai Star Rail’s Bailu?
Time Waits for No One is a five-star light cone that is specifically built for Bailu’s kit, increasing her HP and outgoing healing abilities and buffing her attacks. As this five-star light cone is obtained through gacha, you could use any other Abundance path light cone that you have access to.

We recommend equipping Bailu with Passerby of Wandering Cloud to boost healing output and HP. It can be difficult to get a full set of Passerby of Wandering Cloud with your desired sub-stats, so you can mix and match with Musketeer of Wild Wheat while you’re building her.

Who is Honkai Star Rail’s Bailu?
Bailu is a doctor from the Alchemy Commission who is associated with the Xianzhou Luofo, one of the six flagships of the Xianzhou Alliance. She’s a five-star lightning character, and based on her skill video, she’s a healer. She’s a member of the Vidyadhara race and can often be heard giving out unconventional ‘prescriptions’ to her patients such as “stay hydrated”.
Hoyoverse announced Bailu on the Honkai Star Rail website on January 24, 2023, along with her voice actors. Her English VA is Su Ling Chan and her Japanese VA is Kato Emiri. She has a similar hair color and build to Genshin Impact’s Qiqi, but with two long braids down her back, two horns on her forehead that look like coral, and a large, scaly tail.
